Ashley Collins Newburgh Indiana Obituary, Brian Collins Chandler IN Death: Brian and Ashley Collins died in murder-suicide
The Warrick County Coroner’s Office has officially identified the two individuals who died Saturday in an incident authorities are investigating as a murder-suicide. Coroner Alissa Salee-Enright confirmed Monday morning that the deceased are 35-year-old Brian Collins of Chandler, Indiana, and 31-year-old Ashley Collins of Newburgh, Indiana.
According to the coroner’s office, autopsies for both individuals were scheduled for Tuesday. At this time, no causes of death have been released. In a public statement, Salee-Enright emphasized that the case remains under active investigation.
“This incident remains an active and ongoing investigation being conducted by the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Warrick County Coroner’s Office,” the release stated, adding that no additional information would be made available at this time.
Court records provide additional background related to the individuals involved. Documents show that a judge finalized the divorce between Brian and Ashley Collins on Oct. 30.
The case was classified as a “domestic relations without children” filing. Records also indicate that Ashley Collins’ listed address was on Yosemite Drive, the same roadway where Warrick County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the incident on Saturday.
Law enforcement officials have not yet disclosed details about what led to the deaths or the circumstances surrounding the call for service. Investigators are continuing to gather evidence, conduct interviews, and review available records as part of the ongoing inquiry.
